Welcome to The Twin Corals Shop
Well, here we are — over two decades since my first saltwater tank in 2002 got me completely hooked on reefing. My name is Johnny, a proud dad to identical twins (the inspiration behind our name!) and a dedicated aquaculturist who has spent the last 24 years tinkering with everything from simple glass setups to complex multi-tank systems.
About Our Coral Farm
Moving through more than eight different aquariums over the years, my appreciation for captive-raised marine life deepened into a full-blown collection centered heavily on zoanthids. Today, our personal systems are home to over 90 distinct strains, ranging from everyday favorites to elite, highly sought-after collector morphs.
Everything we sell is grown out in those same systems. Nothing goes on the site fresh-cut — each frag is given time to heal, encrust and settle before it is ever photographed for sale.
A Bit of History
Before taking the plunge into commercial hobbyism, I spent years working in leadership and contributor roles managing large-scale programs across major global investment and commercial banks. That corporate background instilled a meticulous approach to detail, but my heart has always remained in the hobby.
What started as a single glass tank in 2002 is now a multi-system frag operation, run with the same discipline and a great deal more saltwater.
About the Founder
When I’m not elbows-deep in saltwater managing our frag systems, you can usually find me dialing in a homemade espresso or cold brew, crushing miles on my Trek Domane SLR 9 road bike through the country hills, or traveling the world while keeping a nervous eye on my phone to make sure the tanks are running smoothly.
