While the vast majority of our offerings are aquacultured in our farm systems, sourced from trusted professional vendors, or acquired from fellow hobbyists, we occasionally source select corals from the wild. Any wild or maricultured corals we bring in are strictly conditioned, stabilized, and grown out in our systems for at least a month before being listed for sale.

None of our livestock are fresh-cut frags. Every piece is allowed to properly heal, encrust, and grow out for a minimum of two weeks and frequently six weeks or more before being listed for sale.

WYSIWYG stands for What You See Is What You Get. When you purchase a WYSIWYG coral, the photograph displays the exact individual specimen that will be shipped to you.

These are non-WYSIWYG specimens. While they are exact clones of our healthy mother colonies, the piece you receive may vary slightly in size or polyp count, though they will match the high quality and coloration shown. Within a few months in your display, they look identical to frag-matched pieces.

Absolutely. If you are hunting for a particular zoanthid strain, coral morph, or equipment item that isn't currently visible on the storefront, reach out to us and we can check our inventory systems.

We currently ship exclusively to the 48 continental United States and Washington DC, via secure overnight transit. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories (including Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands), military APO/FPO addresses, PO Boxes, or PMBs.

All live orders must be placed by the cut-off time of 6:00 PM EST for next-day overnight live delivery.

No. To protect the health of the livestock and avoid multi-day transit holdups over Sunday carrier closures, we dispatch Monday through Wednesday for Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday arrival. You choose your delivery date at checkout.

We carefully monitor regional weather conditions across transit routes before dispatching any box. If severe weather or carrier disruptions pose a risk, we will hold the shipment and coordinate a safer delivery date with you.

Yes, you can add items to an active, unshipped order by selecting the local pickup or add-on shipping method at checkout so you don't pay double transit fees. Note: must be submitted by the cut-off time of 6:00 PM EST.

Four categories — Aquarium Lighting, Powerheads, Return Pumps and Protein Skimmers — are drop-shipped directly to you from our wholesale distributor at no shipping cost, and are never packed with live orders.

Every other aquarium supply (foods, dips, test kits, glue, frag plugs and tiles, care packs) ships free and is packed into the same shipment as your corals, so it adds nothing to your shipping cost. Ordered on their own, these items also ship free.

No. Aquarium supplies add nothing to your shipping cost — they travel in the same box as your corals. You still pay the livestock rate for the live portion of the order ($44.99 standard, $28.99 regional, free at $329 or more), but the supplies themselves are free either way.

Lighting, powerheads, return pumps and protein skimmers are the exception: they come straight from our distributor in their own shipment, also at no cost to you.

Yes. Shipped orders have a $60 minimum. Live corals need insulated packaging and overnight transit, and below that figure the shipping outweighs the order. Your cart will tell you how much more you need before you can check out.

We rely exclusively on several Nicrew HyperReef Gen 2 LED (100W or 150W) fixtures to power our culture systems, though we are currently testing additional lighting setups as well. Lighting intensity is tuned carefully via the lighting controllers based on coral type:

• SPS corals: 300–500 PAR
• LPS & soft corals: 50–150 PAR

While every system has its own method, our culture systems generally maintain a temperature of 78–79°F year-round, salinity around 1.026 specific gravity, alkalinity at 7.8–8.5 dKH, calcium at 425–445 ppm, magnesium at 1340–1440 ppm, nitrates under 2 ppm, and phosphates kept below 0.10 ppm.
