Blastomussa

Blastomussa — "Blastos" to their many fans — are among the most peaceful and underrated LPS corals in the hobby. Their plump, mushroom-like polyps grow from tubular skeletons, stacking into dense, pillowy colonies of red, teal, and neon-green rings. Unlike many LPS they carry no aggressive sweeper tentacles, making them a genuinely safe neighbor in tight aquascapes. Keep them in low-to-moderate light with gentle, indirect flow — strong current keeps the polyps deflated — and offer fine meaty foods occasionally to speed up head production.
