Pectinia corals are the angular aliens of the LPS world — jagged spires and ridged plates in hues like Space Invader green and rainbow-rim combinations that look engineered rather than grown. Underrated and eye-catching, Pectinias do best in low-to-moderate light with moderate flow, and they're serious nocturnal feeders: drop meaty foods in after lights-out and watch their transparent feeding tentacles blanket the colony. Keep some distance around them, as they can be aggressive toward close neighbors.
