Devil's Hand Leather Coral

Devil's Hand Leather Coral (Lobophytum sp. - Tan)

Add wonderful movement, rich texture, and classic reef character to your aquarium with a live frag of the tan Devil's Hand Leather Coral (Lobophytum sp.). Named for its distinct, finger-like lobes that branch out and ripple as they mature, this hardy soft coral creates a dynamic, swaying landscape that mimics a genuine ocean reef.

The natural tan coloration offers a warm, earthy contrast to neon SPS and bright LPS corals, making it a staple centerpiece or background statement piece for both beginner and advanced hobbyists. As it grows, it develops a thick, encrusting base and expansive folds that provide a peaceful, welcoming habitat for clownfish and other reef dwellers.

• Hardy & Beginner-Friendly: One of the most resilient soft corals available, making it an excellent choice for newly established mature tanks or experienced hobbyists alike.

• Mesmerizing Movement: Features thick, finger-like lobes that sway gracefully with the current, adding organic motion to your display.

• Adaptable Lighting & Flow: Thrives across a wide range of moderate lighting and moderate water movement conditions.

• Naturally Aquacultured: Fragged and healed from our healthy, stable mother colonies to ensure an easy transition into your system.

Note: Mother colony photo is shown as a representation and is not for sale.

How We Photograph Our Corals

Every WYSIWYG photo on The Twin Corals Shop is captured directly in our systems using meticulous settings to ensure absolute transparency. Our goal is straightforward: show the coral precisely as it appears in a well-maintained reef aquarium — never heavily filtered or artificially saturated.

Our Camera & Optics

• Camera: Panasonic Lumix G85
• Lens / Mode: Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 60mm f/2.8 Macro Lens
• ISO: 50

• Photo Spectrum Mix: White 5% · Violet 60% · UV 60% · Deep Blue 50%

Color Accuracy & Your Tank

By utilizing a targeted custom white balance, our photos closely mirror what you will see under a clean, balanced blue-leaning reef spectrum.

Keep in mind that corals are living organisms; their appearance can naturally shift from tank to tank depending on your specific water parameters, nutrient levels, lighting spectrum, and flow patterns. We strive to provide honest, dependable photos you can trust so your new coral looks right at home from day one.
