Product overview

Soft leather corals are iconic additions to the marine aquarium, prized for their fleshy stalks, mesmerizing polyp extension, and wonderful swaying motion that adds natural movement and texture to a reef display. Encompassing popular varieties like Toadstool, Finger, and Cabbage leathers, these hardy corals offer gorgeous shades of cream, tan, yellow, green, and neon highlights, making them fantastic centerpieces or background pillars for reef keepers at any experience level.

Care & husbandry guidelines

• To keep your leather corals expanding fully and thriving, provide moderate lighting alongside robust, intermittent water flow that helps sweep away shed mucus layers and debris from their surfaces.
• While they derive substantial energy through photosynthesis via symbiotic zooxanthellae, they also readily accept target feedings of micro-plankton or liquid coral nutrition to support vigorous growth.
• Known for their resilience and adaptability, they prefer stable parameters and adequate personal space; because some leather species release natural organic compounds (allelopathy) when crowded or stressed, running activated carbon in your filtration system is recommended to maintain crystal-clear water.

Color Accuracy & Your Tank

By utilizing a targeted custom white balance, our photos closely mirror what you will see under a clean, balanced blue-leaning reef spectrum.

Keep in mind that corals are living organisms; their appearance can naturally shift from tank to tank depending on your specific water parameters, nutrient levels, lighting spectrum, and flow patterns. We strive to provide honest, dependable photos you can trust so your new coral looks right at home from day one.
