Ultra Alveopora Frag | WYSIWYG

Ultra Alveopora Frag

Few corals have movement like Alveopora. Each polyp extends on a long stalk topped with a crown of 12 rounded tentacles, so a healthy colony looks like a bouquet of tiny flowers swaying in the current. These Ultra-grade frags show off vivid color, from neon lime and teal to pink and copper tones. Each comes on a large frag disk plug, giving it plenty of room to encrust and grow.

WYSIWYG – you receive the exact frag pictured.

Care Quick Facts

• Scientific name: Alveopora sp.
• Care level: Moderate. Best for a stable, established reef rather than a brand-new tank
• Lighting: Low to moderate
• Water flow: Low to moderate, enough to make the polyps sway without blowing them flat
• Placement: Lower to middle levels
• Feeding: Benefits from fine foods such as reef roids, phytoplankton, or amino acids a few times a week
• Temperament: Peaceful, but give it room so neighbors don't sting its long polyps

Tips for Success

• Acclimate slowly and start it lower in the tank, then move it up once polyps extend fully
• Stability is everything; Alveopora reacts badly to big swings in alkalinity or salinity
• Keep it away from aggressive corals and fish that pick at polyps

How We Photograph Our Corals

Every WYSIWYG photo on The Twin Corals Shop is captured directly in our systems using meticulous settings to ensure absolute transparency. Our goal is straightforward: show the coral precisely as it appears in a well-maintained reef aquarium — never heavily filtered or artificially saturated.

Our Camera & Optics

• Camera: Panasonic Lumix G85
• Lens / Mode: Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 60mm f/2.8 Macro Lens
• ISO: 50

• Photo Spectrum Mix: White 5% · Violet 60% · UV 60% · Deep Blue 50%

Color Accuracy & Your Tank

By utilizing a targeted custom white balance, our photos closely mirror what you will see under a clean, balanced blue-leaning reef spectrum.

Keep in mind that corals are living organisms; their appearance can naturally shift from tank to tank depending on your specific water parameters, nutrient levels, lighting spectrum, and flow patterns. We strive to provide honest, dependable photos you can trust so your new coral looks right at home from day one.
